2 out of 5 stars Too Thin for Starting Potty Training/ Low Quality   July 28, 2010
LiveAndLearn (OAKTON, VA, US)
I bought luvable friends training pants given the reviews, and bought one set of the Gerber. Since I am starting out potting training on my two year old, after receiving the underwear, I thought both the luvable friends and gerber were too thin to capture the accidents. However in terms of quality, the luvable friends don't seem that high quality. the side panels on the luvable friends while thin and breathable, are very thin cotten. I hope they make it through the many wash cycles ahead. After receiving both the luvable friends and Gerber, I would recommend the Gerber over luvable friends (made in India). 1)The Gerber side panels cotten is thicker, more durable looking. 2) the quality of the gerber seams, fabric and overall garment construction is better. Both the Gerber and luvable friends had the same thickness in terms of the main area to capture pee -for starting out training potty, I wish they had something a little thicker. Also my kid is skinny and 26 pounds- not much fat, so even though the gerber is rated for a bit heavier kid, the Gerbers were the best fit around the legs, and the luvable friends is oversized on her around the leg area. Given the reviews (not sure why there was such a rave on the luvables, fake reviews?), I bought 2 sets of luvable friends, but wish I had bought two of the Gerber instead. Plus I paid 11.00 for shipping for the luvable friends, wish i could send them back, but don't want to pay for more shipping. I didn't pay shipping on the gerbers.

2 out of 5 stars Started falling apart after first wash   July 23, 2010
Mermaid Mom
These are cute and the cotton is thick and soft, which I liked. However, they did not hold much urine when my son had an accident and after one wash they are already coming apart at the seams - very disappointed, wanted to like these a lot more.

5 out of 5 stars Great training pants   July 6, 2010

The training pants are great. Like the boy designs. They do not hold much urine, but that is expected as they are training pants not diapers. Definitely worth the money. Seem to fit per listed sizes.

Love these panties. My 18 mo old has taken an interest in the potty. SHe is almost fully potty trained. When we started our potty training I got little underpants from Walmart.... cute but thin and I often found out she had an "accident" after she slipped on the puddle on the floor and landed in it.... these were recommended to me by a friend. Got them and they actually sent 6 pairs... not sure if that was an accident because I didnt see any indication that the sale was for 2 packs. Anyways, Love them. I have washed them each probably a dozen times already and havent had one issue yet. I havent had the insides shift as previously mentioned. She can not get them up and down herself because she is only 18 mo so still a little clumbsy for that so I can not comment on that complaint. these are absorbant, soft and cute. br / br /Would definatly buy them again!

3 out of 5 stars Average training pants   June 2, 2010
Karoline Baresel (Chandler, AZ USA)
Now that we have been using these for a couple of weeks now I didn't see a huge difference from the Gerber pants. These pants were a little smaller running in the waist but the leg opening was true to size. So the fit is a little off. I ordered the size 4 33-38lb range. Like prior reviewer I hand dryed them to do a slight stretch for the waist so they can be pulled up and down easier. The leg opening is still a tad too big though. The Gerber pants are a little bit truer to size and the waist and leg opening are better. So for the small amount that these pants save I would just recommend the Gerber brand instead. Yes, they aren't real absorbent so definitely not for night time use. I am searching for those now.
