Though I was surprised that these aren't the basic square shape that I picture when I think "bandana," these little things WORK! They are more of a tubular shape, with the polymer beads in a sewn-in pocket in the middle of the bandana. We tried soaking for thirty minutes, but there was no word of "over soaking" them, so we tested them out after soaking for as long as an hour and as little as twenty minutes. Either way it does work, cooling the squishy beads which can be quite refreshing on a hot day. It took about two full days to (mostly) dry the hour-soaked bandana, and it was still cool. Very helpful for hot weather.

The EverCool Bandanas are WORTHLESS. I tried making them cool every way that was described on the package; it did not make a difference, they did not work. I gave two away to friends and they have the same opinion. Money wasted once again on an internet product. Babs

I work at Outdoor Living Museum and it has been one of the hottest summers on record. I needed something to help since I couldn't get to the AC. These did the trick. They really do work. I found that the fabric would dry out before the end of an 8 hour day,but the beads remained "puffy" so when I could, I just rewet the fabric. The beads stay up and keep you cool for days...really!!
